Perth Observatory, nestled in Bickley, is a beacon of astronomical excellence. By night, gaze at planets and galaxies; by day, enjoy engaging tours. Run by passionate volunteers, it’s a gateway to the cosmos only 40 minutes from Perth. Over the festival you can enjoy:
Guided Tours – Guests will embark on an insightful journey through the Perth Observatory Museum, marvelling at historical telescopes that have stood as silent sentinels of the cosmos. The tour will also include a visit to Worl Wangkiny, our Indigenous Astronomy Centre, where visitors will gain a deeper appreciation of the rich cultural knowledge of the night sky from the world’s oldest continuous living culture.
Solar Viewing (Weather Permitting) – If the skies are kind, we shall unveil our solar telescope, offering visitors the rare opportunity to safely observe the Sun in all its dynamic glory.
This stellar selection of activities ensures a rich, educational, and engaging experience for visitors of all ages.
